The Judeo Christian community of The World believes that God, The Creator of The World, inspired human beings through the ages to write down what He says about Himself, His creation, and His love for us all, in a collection of books known as The Holy Bible, or Scripture. The Bible is divided into two major sections. First is The Old Testament, which teaches us about what God has to say regarding the era before His Son, Jesus Christ, walked on the Earth. Second is The New Testament whereby God teaches us about the era when Jesus Christ walked on the Earth, and His return to be with His Father in Heaven. The Old Testament comprises of 39 books, and The New Testament of 27, for a total of 66 books. The first four books of The New Testament are known as The Gospels, telling readers that they contain the Good News taught by Jesus and His life on Earth. There are many texts throughout Scripture which are well known to Judeo Christians. The one text which is likely the best known is called John 3:16. John is the fourth of the four gospels in The New Testament, and therefore simply the fourth book of The New Testament. John, the author of the book, was a person who walked with Jesus Christ while Jesus was on Earth, and so he is called one of the twelve desciples of Jesus. John 3:16 is a reference to the text of the book John, the 3rd chapter of the book and the 16th verse of the chapter.

The text reads as follows in the English translation from the original language known as the New King James Version: "John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.".
